Pence to replace Trump

After numerous PR disasters in the Trump campaign, from the tax deductible to the leaked audio of Trump making "questionable comments", many people in the GOP establishment are advocating for Trump to resign and have Mike Pence take over. Some of these advocates include past presidential candidates of the GOP, such as Carly Fiorina and Jeb Bush.

Replacing Trump with Mike Pence would promote great holes in what is supposed to be a democracy. Although Donald Trump is not seen well by the Republican Establishment and is not seen as a good candidate, at the end of the day, the people of the United States chose Donald Trump to be the Presidential Nominee. By having the establishment choose the candidate over PR issues, this does not promote equity in between the people and the elites. The people did not choose Pence, Pence was never even a candidate for president. Can the establishment be upset with Trump? Absolutely. As a matter a fact, it is normal and good that the GOP is calling out Trump for his past comments. However, replacing him is not the correct strategy.
