Economists Hope For Big Spending on Infrastructure Soon

Finally a topic that Trump and Clinton agree on, funding for infrastructure. Both nominees believe that there needs to be a large amount spent to renew America's infrastructure. At first, it is hard to see where this cost goes of investing money in roads and bridges. But this may be one of the most important parts that fuels the U.S. economy. It allows trucks and cars move more easily between point A and B. It will provide a more efficient shipping routes between two major hubs of the world such as Oakland and Chicago. Without infrastructure, out economy cannot function. Also, revamping the U.S. infrastructure will be a cost that will hopefully last another 30 years. I believe that this investment could complete our recovery from the Great Recession. Hiring thousands of middle class workers to rebuild our infrastructure. One thing that I found incredibly true is prioritizing what needs to be updated. For example, are replacing pipes in Flint just as important as rerouting traffic patterns in New York to save commuters 20 minutes. I think that as a nation we have a hard time figuring out what can wait and what we need now. If we are able to come to an agreement on a hierarchy of projects, this will create a greater benefit. as those projects with the greatest benefit will be finished first.
