[VIDEO] Tesla Autopilot 2.0

I know we are supposed to be posting news articles, but I thought this video that was recently uploaded by some guy named Daniel was worth making an exception.

Tesla has finished its version 2.0 autopilot and is going to be releasing it with all new Tesla models.

And it's terrifying.

If you watch the video, you get a taste of how far autopilot technology has come in the last decade. 10 years ago, we were hearing hints that Google was working on driverless technology. Really they were just average sedans with huge, ugly camera modules mounted on the roof. (Reference picture: http://www.europe-autos.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Google-driverless-car.jpg)

Fast forward to 2016, and we have beautifully crafted supercars that look like a mix between a top tier Jag and a Maserati, can accelerate to 60 in less than three seconds, and can now drive themselves flawlessly (at the end of the video, the tesla even parks itself after it drops the 'driver' off).

The cars are getting cheaper as well. The Model S starts at $66k, and a Model 3 is supposed to be released this upcoming year for sub $40k. Here comes the future.

If only the technology had been around a little sooner, and we could have all been doing our homework while we drive to and from school.
